It is very helpful All you have to do is change the default from 7 days to 50-100 days or whatever you want

If people don't start using this I will start getting progressively more and more frustrated.
I have thought about penalizing teams for attempting to sign players who are not FAs. It is not difficult to search. Took me about 2 minutes to see what team Jose Ceda was on, for example.

Sometimes it doesn't work, however. I have no idea whether Mike Olt is a FA because it said 'Olt' is too short and was removed from the search so I ended up finding out about a ton of guys named 'Mike'

Ah okay Sam, thanks that's a really good point. Most names are not 3 letters long so most of the time you'll be okay.
one workaround would be to type in what team you assume he is on (or started with) with the First Name. In this case search "rangers mike" - then if you do a CTRL+F and search "Olt" you should find it.
used to be a google search functionality - i'll check on the proboards support site about how that's working now
