It is time to remind people to look at the rules regarding Franchise Tags and how they work - I've gotten a few questions in recent days.
Per the rules, ALL teams get 2 Franchise Tag Options.
Per the rules, a Franchise Tag can be used on any player who will enter Free Agency in our league after this current season; the way the Tag works is you will inherit the REAL LIFE contract that the player signs, whatever that contract is. This contract then becomes that player's contract. You must plan ahead. Each year you get a new franchise tag - so for example, if Robert Robertson signs a 5 year deal, you inherit his 5 year deal; however you have a new tag next season as well. You do not have to wait 5 years until his deal expires before you get another Tag (this was a commonly asked question)
