Well, the season is upon us and were ready to go for Season 1 of High Heat.
We have a great group of guys in here, and I anticipate a fantastic, competitive year.
A few things you need to know/and some reminders.
1. There are 21 weeks on the schedule, week 22 the playoff start. 6 teams will make the playoffs from the AL, 6 from the NL. The 3 division winners will be in, along with 3 Wild Cards.
The schedule is set up so you play your division opponents, at least twice, as well as everyone else in your league be it AL or NL at least once.
2. We are using H2H, with the categories for offense: OPS, R, RBI, SB, HR, AVG, for offense: W, K, ERA, WHIP, SV, HD.
MOST CATEGORIES IS A WIN, meaning if you win 7 categories for that given week, you will be 1-0 after week 1. If it ends in a tie 6-6, Wins will be the determining factor.
3. New weeks start on Monday, and last through Sunday.
4. Very Very Important. We have 8 active offensive slots, C, DH, DH, DH, OF, OF, UTI, UTI.
CBS did away with the IF option, so OUR 3 IF slots will be identified as DH slots. NO POSISTION PLAYER THAT IS NOT AN IF MAY BE PLACED IN THE DH SLOT.
If you place a catcher, or an outfielder in the DH slot, you will loose all stats from the particular DH slot, for the ENTIRE week. It will be monitored, it will be checked.
5. 30 IP rule- this has been in the rules and it is just a reminder, NO pitching stats will count for the week if you do not accumulate 30 IP. It will be checked every sunday night, if you dont have 30 IP you will loose all pitching stats for the week.
6. Not setting your lineup in not acceptable and inexcusable. Cbs allows you to set your lineup days if not weeks in advance if you cant do it daily, so there is no excuse. It is not fair for the league, or your opponent to be handed a win cause you didnt set your lineup.
Not setting your lineup will result in you being replaced, immidiately, with NO warning.
Thats it......I believe....Lets have a great first season and good luck to everybody.
Any questions on anything in this PM or anything else, PM or YIM me. Thanks.
