I will begin with that this is just an opinion, so no need for flaming. I do not claim to be a professional. I am just comparing all the teams according to Starting Lineup, Starting Pitching and Bullpen. I will rank each category for each league from 1-6. 1 being the best and 6 the weakest. Then I will average the number and will give the "ranking" of the team. Then I will give my prediction for each matchup and my WS winner.
American League[/u]
1. New York Yankees : Starting pitching - 2, Starting Lineup - 1, Bullpen - 2 for an average score of 1.67
2. Oakland A's : Starting pitching - 1, Starting Lineup - 4, Bullpen - 1 for an average score of 2
3. Minnesota Twins : Starting pitching - 3.5, Starting Lineup - 2, Bullpen - 6 for an average score of 3.83
4. Detriot Tigers : Starting pitching - 3.5, Starting Lineup - 6, Bullpen - 3 for an average score of 4.17
5. Toronto Blue Jays : Starting pitching - 6, Starting Lineup - 3, Bullpen - 4 for an average score of 4.33
6. Tampa Bay Rays : Starting pitching - 5, Starting Lineup - 5, Bullpen - 5 for an average score of 5
National League[/u]
1. Atlanta Braves : Starting pitching - 1, Starting Lineup - 3.5, Bullpen - 1 for an average score of 1.83
2. Philadelphia Phillies : Starting pitching - 2, Starting Lineup - 1, Bullpen - 4 for an average score of 2.33
3. Milwakee Brewers : Starting pitching - 4, Starting Lineup - 3.5, Bullpen - 3 for an average score of 3.5
4. Washington Nationals : Starting pitching - 3, Starting Lineup - 5, Bullpen - 5 for an average score of 4.33
5. New York Mets : Starting pitching - 5, Starting Lineup - 6, Bullpen - 2 for an average score of 4.33
6. Colorado Rockies : Starting pitching - 6, Starting Lineup - 2, Bullpen - 6 for an average score of 4.67
So after these scoring I would have the Yankees/Braves in WS.. and if I had to pick right now.. I would say the Atlanta Braves will be our WS champion, he has the Lee/Tulo factor working in his favor. Of course, that is why we play the games. Good luck to all and feel free to post comments and of course, DISAGREE with me. I meant to do this on Sunday after Brian posted the matchups but hadnt had time to do so.
