Fantrax Scoring
Innings Pitched Minimum
In order for people not to abuse the H2H system, there will be a rule that states you must have pitched a minimum of 30 IP over the course of a week for your pitching statistics to count on CBS. If you DO NOT reach 30 IP for a given week, no pitching stats will count for your team for that week. This would obviously most likely result in a loss since the only possible way to win would be winning all hitting categories and have your opponent have 0 wins which leads you to win the Avg tie breaker.
Weekly Head to Head (H2H) Matchups:
This is a H2H league with the format with most categories being a win. The categories are as follows:
* Pitching – Wins, Saves, Holds, ERA, Whip, K's
* Hitting – Runs, HR, RBI, SB, OPS, AVG
For example, you win a given week if you win more categories than your opponent. If a week ends in a tie, the winner will be decided by who has the most amount of pitcher wins. If there still remains a tie, the tie-breaker will be determined by AVG. If there still remains a tie, the tie-breaker will be determined by ERA.
Fantrax Roster/Lineups
On Fantrax, your roster will be broken down into the same 2 parts it is on the message board. You are able to put players in the "minors" on Fantrax and should do so. It will only let you have 40 players on your Major League roster. Players on your minor league roster cannot accumulate weekly stats for you unless they are promoted to your Major League Roster (refer to rule 2). You may do this easily on Fantrax, but ensure that player is then listed on your major league roster here on the message board with their salary now counting towards your team's salary cap.
Active Positions for Fantrax
Only “active” positions will accumulate stats for a given week:
* 10 Pitchers (can be starters; middle relievers; set-up men; closers)
* 1 C (Catcher)
* 3 IF (1 CI, 1 MI, 1 IF) Effective 2013 per ammendment 4.2, we will have 4 IF (2 CI, 2 MI)[/color][/u]
* 2 OF (Outfield)
* 2 UTI (Any position)
These players may be moved in and out of the “active” position spots on a daily basis. This means you can set your lineup differently every day and are not restricted to changing your lineup once a week. You do, however, have the option of setting your roster weeks in advance through Fantrax. With this feature especially, know that not setting your lineup is unfair to both your opponent and to every GM vying for a playoff berth. Inactivity will be grounds for being fined or worse.
Getting to the World Series
Each year 12 teams will make the playoffs. Each division winner will be in, along with 3 wildcards from both the American and National League (best records after division winners). Our season will end 4 weeks before the MLB regular season does. The top 6 teams in each league will make the playoffs with the #1 AND #2 seeds in each league receiving a first round bye. If the #1 seeds are tied, the tie-breaker will be the best H2H record vs. each other. If the two teams split the regular season, the second tie breaker will be conference record. If the top 3 teams are tied, the tie-breaker will go to the best conference record.
Championship Award Presentation
The World Series Champion will receive $300 in cash for winning the league along with recognition on the board.
The Division Winners and Teams Making the Playoffs will receive recognition on the message board for all members to see. All trophies are stored for all time in the League Archives area at the bottom of the homepage here on Proboards.
